It's a pure hypothetical, maybe the price of coal will "rise" (as the demand for coal falls????), and no coal will be available for the poor "steamy's" and poor Thomas may never run again, right?

We get this "terrible" "news" from a pandering UK politician, pandering to gin up folks, on a pure "supposition", with no real proof or even well reasoned argument, that coal will become unavailable for the poor Thomas, because the UK will have converted to mostly much cheaper and cleaner natural gas or north sea wind for electrical generation and sill shutter coal power plants by 2025. And, of course this is in an article posted on a political fringe website, in the UK....

FUD, you fell for this nonsense why? The amounts of CO2 from many of these "historic steam rail operations are "white noise" when it comes to ghg, these sources don't make up a ten thousandth of a percent of the daily CO2 inventory. Conversion to fuel oil is unnecessary, and would not help much, with overall CO2 emissions. This article, is the "maguffin" FUD, just a handy device for hooking the intended audience, with this politicians dubious plot line...

If you want to reduce significantly actual "global large scale and serious CO2 emissions FUD, get India and China to buy CA Monterey shale natural gas, and convert the filthiest coal plants in the world, burning the highest carbon low btu coal in the world, to make electricity, reducing those massive sources of CO2 emissions, by up to 75%.....

And, now for that bit of factual truth, that I would continue to let the "EVIL" steamy's still burn coal, all of you green weenies can attack me, too....

Other than that, the sky is definitely falling...… Just ask "chicken little".....
