That's extremely reductive. Electric buses have much fewer moving parts than diesel or CNG buses. That makes transit maintenance employees happy.

Again, the reduced maintenance costs associated with fewer maintenance costs would offset some of the costs associated with limited operating range.
Electric bus technology is a work in progress. Do not generalize the experience of your community's transit system to what has happened or will happen to other transit systems using battery electric buses.
