So you understand

My posts are reacting to the following:
We have a few electrics in my community, and they work okay on the shuttles. They make some of the local "greenies" real happy, and make for lots of positive press. But, in reality, the E-buses require being taken off the road for recharging during operating periods, impacting hourly vehicle operating costs significantly, increasing the subsidy per passenger to operate the service.
You are made a statement about electric buses in your community and generalizing it across the country. If you said, "In my community, xyz happened with battery electric buses, but other transit systems may have different experiences" I would have never replied to your post.
What is experienced in your community with battery electric bus operation is not necessarily what will be experienced elsewhere. There is ZERO political correctness in that sentiment.
As far as a writing a peer-reviewed paper, even if I had the time to write one (which I do not) it would be ridiculous for me to write one on electric buses now, because they haven't been delivered yet.
Lastly, unless I misunderstood you it seems your direct involvement with buses was in the 1990s - 2000 period. However, the technology has significantly advanced since then and continues to evolve.
