So true in the People's Republic of Kalifornia...not much better (at least lately) than North Korea regarding frequent power outages. PG&E is too big for its own good and needs to be broken up vis-a-vis Bell Telephone. Cut the 2% or more yearly rate increases the yes men at the CPUC approve year over year over year for PG&E. With that in mind, you have to think who pays CPUC's wages. I have lived over all of the Western United States and CA takes the cake. Victim mentality, throw more money at problems instead of actually solving them, not visualizing the long-term outcomes of knee-jerk decision making (example: needle exchange program: now used needles are all over Frisco, Fresno, LA, etc)
As far as the PG&E wildfire threat:
A. Mother nature hasn't changed greatly.
B. The electricity has been flowing for 150 years.
C. The only thing that has changed is the piss poor PG&E management that is solely responsible for this mess.
Sure, one could argue trree huggers have put pressure on reducing prescribed burns, smoke from fires, etc...
Chairman Mao would be happy at the P.R.K (People's Republic of Kalifornia).
