I've visited a fair number of trolley lines around the west, but the Yakima Valley Transportation still holds a spot near and dear to my heart. I grew up an hour away, but didn't discover it until early adulthood brought a little more mobility. Too bad. If I had caught on just a few years before, I could have caught it as a functioning railroad.

As it was, the YVT and its eclectic collection of electrified equipment paved the way for me falling in love with interurban railroading, and a ride behind one of their trolleys is always a treat.

Thanks a ton for posting the article about this fantastic little interurban that typically doesn't get much recognition.
