I should also mention that late March-early May can be a slow period for log traffic because of ground thaw conditions. Too soft to work in the woods, and weight restrictions posted for some local roads. The new 3-day schedule is currently M-W-F. Heard the Switcher crew yesterday morning call the depot to check whether the Potlatch log dock was ready for a switch, and heard them during dinner time reporting their location on the trip back from Plummer.
