Yes, that was always the intent of the current manager.

Well, the 4014 is a 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement, while the 3985 is a 4-6-6-4 wheel arrangement, thus the 4014 is longer, heavier, and originally designed for heavy freight hauling, with a max speed of 50 MPH, while the 3985 was originally designed for dual service, i.e. fast freight and passenger service, with speeds upwards of 70 MPH.

Bluntly, the 4014 is NOT "better suited", but unlike the 3985, the 4014 makes the current manager famous!

The BNSF is so busy, especially in the Southern California area, the odds of 3751 operating a main line steam excursion in the future are VERY slim!
