She has accepted a post as a Senior Advisor to President Elect Obama in the new administration.

She was also the Chairman of The Chicago Transit Board for 10 years. This is the governing body of the Chicago Transit Authority.

The new administration will be pro transit and passenger rail. I would not be surprised if some of the large job bill money will be going to transit.
