PNWR has filed with the STB to discontinue service over the line between milepost 96.88 (Tongue Point) and milepost 74.3 near Wauna. They will NOT be pulling the rails....other public use is not appropriate this is a proposed discontinuance of common carrier service and not abandonment of the line. stay tuned

yes I remember the downtown log trains and a gritty Astoria....take a look at the number of cruise ships scheduled to visit for 2020
