Kinda like an East Coast version of those Ted Benson shots of Bay Area commuters during the early-mid 1970s. And proves why you shouldn't always try to crop people and their autos from the shot. Those extra elements in the photo will be highly treasured decades later. Now, as for 1976 vs. 1979, I do recall when we flew from southern California to upstate New York in the late 70s to visit my mom's folks, the Northeastern fashions (everything from eyeglass frames down to the bell bottoms) were a good five years behind the West Coast.
