Yep, it would be a good time to contact your Senator and Assemblyman, and say I want rail service we can really use, not this gold plated HSR boondoggle..

It is critical, it's time to stop Pacheco, which with the usual CAHSRA "cost creep" will easily now cost $30 billion... It's time to kill it, before the giant sucking sound of the money being vacuumed out of the taxpayers pockets begins.

I know that the apologist's for the CAHSRA's "runaway money train" fiasco think that $30 billion is a "small price to pay" for their "visionary" contractor wet dream. Of course, it is money which is to be spent on a link that solves none of the issues with access and congestion from the tens of thousands of long daily trips, mostly from the upper Valley into and out of the East Bay, South Bay, Peninsula, or the City, which would be better served at a lower cost, via an Altamont/Dumbarton route.

While do I know it was hyperbole to claim that we could have really make CA look like Switzerland for the original $10 billion bond (stupid evil bad BOB2!!! Who hates "real" HSR!!!), I am pretty sure that I actually could at least make Sou Cal look a whole lot more like Switzerland's level and quality of passenger rail services, with the $30 billion dollars that we would ultimately be spending on the next 20 years, on the next phase of this fiasco that they want to build on the "runaway money train", via Pacheco...
