Arlen, you hit the nail on the head! A trail through a forest will not generate any revenue for the state, county, etc. The washouts and blocked tunnels would still need to be repaired and maintained. Someone should inform Gov. Kulongoski that a port with lots of undeveloped land around it could be an Ace card up his sleeve. Soon, overseas shippers will need a port to import the new Ford’s and Chevy’s !!!
