The president, regardless of which one, and all his horses and all his men cannot "boot" freight traffic off the railroads in favor of anything. The railroad own that track. They are required to give dispatching preference to Amtrak, but there are even limitations to that. Don't worry. Regardless of political viewpoints, railroading in all forms is most likely to prosper in the future, regardless of which party future presidents come from.
