I am not aware of any special consists or equipment for the President since FDR.

It would be kind of neat (purely from a railfanning standpoint - please don't get political) if the Obama/Biden interest in Amtrak actually resulted in their having something built to transport the President.

It's not unheard of, the President has his own limo, his own 747, his own helicopter. There are enough bad-order cars sitting in Indiana that one could be pulled out and fitted out properly, with a porch even like the Beech Grove.

Okay... just a thought... I'll go put my flame proof suit on now.
