UP has deep pockets to spruce up their line from K Falls to Alturas.

The same cannot be said for the Goose Lake Railroad that operates the remainder of the way to Lakeview.

Lakeview is a interesting town in that it's so far out in the middle of nowhere and yet it still has quite a bit of heavy industry that generates some respectable rail traffic.

Why haven't they run off all the shippers and told them to ship by truck, as we've seen in so many other applications?

These guys need to quit being so rebellious and get with the program.
