I've been buying slides on ebay for 6-7 years and I have my tried and true sellers whom I trust but there are a couple out here now who say in their title 'Original Slide', you bid on it and up comes red information that says, 'LAST ONE'. If it's an original slide, it should be the only one right?
Help here would be grateful. I've been looking closer to my slide mounts and where the date is, on the right side of the mount, normally in red if it's a kodachome, it should read, say, May 1984 and thats it, if it's original. But I'm seeing to the right of the date, different slides may have P3 or F18 or C9. I do buy dupes, but I'm cautious now when I see original in the listing but I get a kodachome slide with these other letter/numbers beyond the date. Are these 'Original'? One frame of film out of a camera or are they a dupe slide printed on kodachome in a lab? I suppose someone could shoot a roster shot multiple times and call each an original, hence 'last one' could be bonafide, but if additional information was to the right of the date is it considered a dupe? I also wonder what a plus sign on a slide mount means. Either side or both sides. Usually on Kodachome mounts only. Thank's for any help to decipher this dilemma....
