January 21 is the earliest for the Geiger Spur changeover, from what I heard last. There either are or were (as of last weekend) 2 switchers on flatcars at Yardley billed to Western Rail, so they might go out on the next run--whenever that is.

The UP Plummer Turn made a rare Saturday run last weekend, but the weather stunk when I heard them go by the house. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep the same schedule this week. With sun foretasted that day, it might be the best chance to get some really nice snow photos. The problem will be the same thing that I faced last weekend up in Marshall Canyon--NO place to pull off and park. The snow berms along the roads are too close to the driving lanes and have grown to about 3' high.
