Heard the STMA Switcher talking to the depot last night. Ended with "see ya on Friday," so sounds like they may be off New Year's Eve as well as Day. BNSF CdA Local got held up by a fallen tree just west of Huetter, and by the time they finished spotting empties at Potlatch and picking up a load at Idaho Veneer, they tied up at IV. Still sitting outside the mill this morning waiting for relief crew. Roger, I heard all that hubbub about the Plummer Turn going up the branch. Did you get an approximate car count? How far did he go? Yeah, parking is tough. Sean and I went out a couple times last week for late Amtraks and other stuff on the Funnel. No.8 sidestepped through the Hauser fuel pad to pick up deadhead Whitefish crews off Main 6, giving us a few extra minutes to find a spot. Granite area had no reasonable parking and access roads were buried, so off we went to Cocolalla Lake. Not a bad shot.
