F-59PH or F-59PHI? The point was, the F-40 style was mentioned so as to indicate a cab that is several feet off the ground. I mentioned F-40 style so as to avoid a red herring argument about cab cars, cabs, Hi-level cab cars and the like. You continue to conveniently ignore the nut of the observation: One cannot possibly see what is in the engineer's hands from the ground or platform in any type of cab! I defy you to logically prove me otherwise. You think because his body is 'erect' that therefore he's paying attention? My good man, I've spent countless hours holding my body 'erect' while fighting a raging mental battle to stay awake! I've switched hundreds of cars with engineers that read a half-folded Sports section on their knee. I highly suggest you conduct fair and impartial confidential interviews with crafts-people before you write much more; I doubt you will however, because of your partial and emotional condition.
Earlier, you also made a clearly egregious point that seeing someone talking on their cell phone in their auotmobile is the same as seeing what an engineer is doing. Although I've questioned you on this, no mention has been made by you in how to support this obvious detachment from the reality of line of sight and elevation considerations.
It's become quite clear to many here that you are simply on a damning mission of some narrow point of view, and that your rationalization of how railroads operate and are managed is clearly spawned from a willfully uneducated viewpoint. If i'm not mistaken, some time ago, you indicated you were a writer or journalist. So far, your piss-poor research efforts on this industry have been glaring and foster a genuine gutting of thoughtful, honest journalism. Go ahead and damn Sanchez if you will- it's your perogative as an American to enjoy free speech. Just do us all a favor and support your potentially libelous accusations and half-cooked rationale with honest to goodness RESEARCH before you spout off about the improbability of false-clear signals, Boy Scout employees and attorney/management media chess games.
