Needle's Eye Tunnel on the old Denver & Salt Lake Rollins Pass route collapsed years ago. You could drive the RofW road but it went around the tunnel & snowshed remains. The tunnel was reopened around 1989 only to suffer another collapse in 1990 and remains closed today.I actually got to drive through it a couple weeks before it collapsed in 1990.
