Don't forget that UP had tax money pay for the Colton flyover project and in exchange for the people paying the tab, Metrolink would be allowed to extend service to Indio on the sunset with their blessing.
This was long before the covidnomic bubble defined mass transit operations.
As you can see, no Metrolink service to Indio to this very day.
Be specific, spit on Union Pacific.
Tax payers are always taking it in the shorts in this once great state.
PS- Indio service had the many events at the top of the list for passenger counts.
