To build on what Jeff said, Mike Williams bought the his first part of the BGCM from a scrapper who was very actively scrapping the second sub. As soon as he took over, scrapping stopped. It was only after a few years went by and it was apparent the line couldn't be revived did he slowly start scrapping part of it.

And to "duh" Idaho is about as "Red State" as they come.
