You might be thinking the old tunnel that Beer Trouble mentioned. A few years ago the road was collapsing into that old tunnel. I think some photos were posted on here. That was fixed pretty quick by filling it in if I remember right.

There are a lot of rocks. The google Earth footage for most of the line has been updated in the last year with pretty good footage. I spent some time taking a tour a few weeks ago. There is one section that a huge bolder came down off the mountain and took the rail out completely. There are newer houses nearby too and looks like the rails may have helped save the houses from that. It doesn't show in google road view yet but it looks like some very big equipment will be needed to move it.

Almost every railroad crossing has to be redone since they are all paved over in the out of service section.
