Don't get me wrong, the SP had its problems too. Perhaps its a learning curve for the UP, but the Sierras can be mightly unforgiving and the best equipment and men can get beyond the curve.
Don't know if the UP has trainmasters and assistant supers riding the flangers, but its a good way to get a hand on the conditions and make command decisions. Sugar Bowl up the street from Norden shows 52 inches have fallen, with a 90 inch base. Will need double that base before the call goes to the rotaries. Understand another storm is coming with another 2 feet predicted
