What makes you think the equipment is for resale? It's useless in the US for anything but scrap metal. Resale overseas, perhaps, and if that's the case then a destination close to the ports would make more sense than Anaheim. Or else, shipment to someplace in Asia for scrapping.
On Google, the place in Anaheim (SA Recycling) does appear to have a large rail yard well-filled with equipment (mostly covered hoppers for some reason). Not sure whether it's there for repair or scrapping. Several passenger cars (well-rusted) in there too, and an apparently active spot for loading scrap into gondola cars. From the overheads, it looks like they do a little business de-engining old locomotives, too. So even if not the actual destination of the Talgos, it's clearly a final destination for some rail equipment.
