I would bet my last dollar that no matter how many people call or submit written testimony saying this is the biggest waste of money in their lifetime, the project will proceed. Sorry for the negative perspective, but after living in DC for 15 years (and thankfully leaving) I've seen government bodies from local to federal level ignore public comments when they've decided "they gonna do what they gonna do."
