The WCRC had some interesting agreements following their taking over the lines of both former Class 1s in the Valley and getting them all linked together. After the BNSF got everything back, things stayed interesting even though they now serviced everything. I was involved in the Design/build project for the second spur track at the Darigold Cheese plant in Sunnyside. Everything was handled via the BNSF's Industrial Development people--right to near the end when it was decided that (because of some legal "cobweb"), the UP needed to be invited to comment on and give the final OK of the plans. (The plant is on the old UP Sunnyside Branch).
