That was back in the "old days" when they ran a lot of trains over Donner Pass. Times have changed. There's not nearly the amount of rail traffic running on the Overland and Feather River routes as there used to be. Remember the "Ford Fast"? That was when we had automobile assembly plants. Remember the "Salad Bowl Express"? That was when the railroads were interested in hauling perishables. I could go on.
