Tom ,I was reading your list of engines that S P used. In either 1946 or 47 I had the pleasure of being assigned to take care of a 90 foot car made exclusivlly for hauling animals.The animals belonged to the Siskiyou Sheriffs Posse, They were well known for the fire drill that they did and were invited to put on their show at the fairgrounds in Sacramento. I can remember like it was almost yesterday When we got back to Dunsmier and they switching our car to go back to Montague and the engineer Of the switch engine hit our car to hard and the conductor yelled at him told to be a little more creful as the car had a load of horses in it.That was quite a trip for a 18 or 19 year old kid
