What is being described is not a baggage car, but a Horse Express Car. Several lines operated them for moving race horse from track to track. They are distinguished by having three doors per side. One end also had a large door so that the horses could be loaded/unloaded at the end at special docks. There is one on display at Southern California Chapter, Railway and Locomotive Historical Society display at Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona. You can also see it at www.trainweb.org/rlhs.
