First responders have to let their vehicles idle
The amount of electronics would drain the average vehicle battery down quickly to the point where they would need a jump,
A police vehicle I once saw had a inverter to run laptop computers and other related 120 volt equipment and they use lots of amperage to set up the voltage
(they don't manufacturer many 12 volt computers)
The LED lighting was a big improvement, drawing about 20% of the old style light bulb and xenon strobes
As far as the amount of cops being sent to an incident, I don't really know procedures,
How many to secure the scene and investigate, my concern would be too many at one location leaves the rest of the city or county without adequate protection.
Would be interested in stats on Hybrid or all electric vehicles on how long they could run lights and communications
