Centerville became Fremont, located in the Bay Area.
The railroad is the South Pacific Coast narrow gauge which ran from Alameda through San Jose and onto Santa Cruz. The SPC mainline passed through Newark which was a few miles west of Centerville. The railroad built a branch line connecting the two cities. Because of the low volume of traffic on the branch, SPC operated with horses.
