Cemex and trains to Davenport - That's all folks

We've probably seen the last train to Davenport on the Santa Cruz Branch for a long time. A trio of D&RGW geeps snuck out about 11:00am yesterday from Watsonville Junction. They did not bring any additional coal empties. One coal hopper at Davenport was sent back empty. Therefore Cemex looks to be done with re-loading coal out of the cement plant. I would expect that some segments of the Santa Cruz Branch will be placed out of service soon. It was good to see the local a couple of more times.

UP 1528 switches the coal spur with empty hoppers for re-loading in Davenport in February of this year.
