Lost Vantage Points Worth Remembering

Can anyone describe a place they used to foam around at years ago, and now there's something like a barricade, fence, Walmart, or something else that just makes the place avoidable?

How's that building behind the Interbay sanding towers that allowed you to be like 3 ft away from a locomotive and still be on non-railway property? Was that ever fenced? Been a while since ive visited Seattle.
