You miss the point completely. The crews were given an option but once they realized it would impact their pay, they declined it. If you'e given the option of altering your working standards for the better exactly as you demanded and then decide not to, how is that the Carriers fault?

I think 35+ years with 3 carriers in a wide variety of positions gives me sufficient experience, including walking a picket line for the UTU.
