Some folks have apparently never run their own businesses and had to cover all expenses, from office rent, to computers, to communications, State, Federal, and local business taxes, liability insurance, even the employer portion of social security, all from their hourly billables.

This is only about $125 an hour, assuming an eight hour day. Which is less than I am allowed to bill Caltrans to cover my fully allocated hourly rate. You only get to keep the part that's left after you've paid all of the overhead bills for the business. And, frankly $125 an hour for any kind of legal work is chicken feed and chump change compared to what I've spent on lawyers as a cost of doing due diligence work for my business.

But, yeah, as someone who has had part of the RR Retirement I earned summarily stolen by act of Congress, I'd be happy to see that money that was stolen from me added back into my pension checks, too.
