I have no doubt you don't care what any of the legal crap says. There's a lot of that going around these days.

Didn't a farily long abandonned rail line being rail "banked" in Massachusetts just get restored, with the trail along side?

The process has to do with abandonment procedures abd ROW preservation agreements (aka "banking") as properly outined by the good Doctor... Straight abandonments where ROW aasements are given up or RR owned ROW sis sold, that have passed out ot that process are likely gone forever.
