Stead was a branch off to an old military airfield (now where they have the Reno Air Races). The main traffic driver in the 1980s was the huge RR Donelley printing plant; with the demise of newspapers and advertising inserts, Donnelley went away. There was also a JC Penny (?) warehouse and some other assorted warehouses out there as well. It was serviced from Parr Yard.
