Central California Traction's GE 44- and 70-tonners had small light fixtures mounted at each corner just above the frames. Long ago, I was told these were "turn signals" for street running in Stockton, Lodi, and Sacramento. Don't know if it's true, but if you check out CCT 30 at Rio Vista Jct. you can see where these lights were plated over. I remember seeing these lights on the 44-tonner that CCT sold to Stockton Terminal & Eastern. I believe that unit is now on the Turlock & Western at Chemurgic.
