$100 million for a train of little value. Other than Yakima and Richland to Seattle or Spokane. Too slow for Spokane to Seattle. Except foamers and tourists on holiday.
They would be smarter to subsidize buses instead. Better service with multiple departures a day. $100 million would subsidize 40 or 50 years. More if you add the certain train operating subsidy.
Portland to Seattle to Vancouver is where money for trains should go in WAshington. Foamerz will sing Every Train is Sacred. Ignore them. Not worth it for the few days a year where the road passes are closed.
