I know a few independent truckers who left California right after AB5 took effect
Even though they had temporary exemption
Many other issues were a contributing factor (the 2010 emissions rule, taxes, fuel, insurance)
They bring trailer and containers to terminals in Yuma and Las Vegas from the rest of the country
