In an online chat on LinkedIn, one truck operator (in Ireland) said the capital investment for battery trucks was 3x that for diesel trucks. Another guy said hydrogen trucks are the future: “A Hydrogen truck can be refueled from 0 to 100% in 20-25 minutes, while a Battery electric truck you need at least 4 hours in the best case scenario.” But that is on LinkedIn, a site where people are singing for their supper. Very biased.

I wonder if the state of CA offers grants for electric trucks like they do for other modes.
