Connection issues for Chico

But there will be no station in Sacramento connecting ACE to Cap Corridor? Stations to the north and south instead connecting to light rail. North a 3 block walk to the light rail then a 2nd transfer to another lrt to get to Amtrak Sacramento - a 4 transfer trip to San Francisco. midtown station a 4 block walk to light rail - a 3 transfer trip to San Francisco. Fun walks at night in a defunded police city.

I don't know timewise but if they run the San Jose ACES to Chico that would be better. 1 transfer to BART if they would extend BART east to ACE. Or is the plan still for a shuttle between ACE trains to San Jose and BART? So 2 transfers to San Francisco. Better than nothing.

Run Chico to Amtrak Sacramento as a Cap Corr extension? It would be interesting to see what numbers they ran for it versus ACE extension. I don't think an ACE vs Cap Corr comparison would have an obvious winner. Good and bad for each.
