What was the attitude of the 3 Los Angeles roads toward private cars? Prior to the formation of Amtrak there were very few cars, maybe 8 or 10 in the entire country. I can picture Santa Fe and UP being receptive to hauling PV (for the right amount of money), with SP being somewhat less enthusiastic. Anyone know?
