Los Angeles - based Pacific Railroad Society ran quite a few trips - Back in The Day. A Farewell to Steam trip over Cajon Pass, and a trip on the " new " Santa Fe Cushenbury Branch, are among those I recall right now; The Tehachapi Trips in 1979 as well. 3 special trains to Del Mar & Fallbrook - all in one day ! Their predecessor Railroad Boosters chartered Pacific Electric cars and covered most of the PE system, including the Mt. Lowe Rwy.
