Government requires airlines to fully compensate delayed passengers and offer alternative transport or lodging. Amtrak just sends you a text saying your train isn't running and at
some point your credit card will be refunded. Xmas 2022 I had to drive my daughter home from
Whitefish to Salem because the new Chargers can't handle the cold and snow and it was all at
our expense (I lost 3 days of work) and her refund arrived 6 months late. Roads were good
most of the way. And BNSF running full bore. Amtrak is kinda like playing the lottery.
