Not really railroad-related but it shows how vulnerable transportation infrastructure can be and how a failure at a key location can have wide-ranging and long-lasting impact.

And, as usual, almost all news coverage, even from supposed "transportation specialists" [reporters] and "transportation analysts" contained at least some statements that showed their lack of understanding of transportation issues and logistics.
