Thanks for the responding post, John. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't ride the excursion that ran on the CN to Kelowna. There must have been some stumbling block that prevented me from doing so---probably lack of money or vacation time. The track has now been abandoned from Lumby Jct. to Kelowna.

Maybe I can talk my way onto the local freight that runs to Lumby or ride as a hobo. A long shot, I'm sure, as talking one's way onto a freight train is a lot more difficult in 2024 than it was in 1979.

That's a funny story about those fishermen on Osprey Lake. Kinda reminds me of a scene from the TV-series "I SPY" that was shot at Lake Arrowhead 56 years ago before Bill Cosby's career was tarnished by scandal.
