The article appeared in the Friday, August 29 edition of the Times-Standard.
The "balloon" track was used to turn the passenger train, power and other equipment in the shop area. What a BN center beam has to do with North Coast rail history is somewhat of a stretch? When contacted about the locos, Mike Monson stated "he just wanted it all to end"??
