Arstechnica has an extended version of the Muni train control story. The story is old, except that the contract to fix it has finally been signed. Ars' story not only goes into a little more detail than govtech's, it has a long (by now) and adequately snarky (given the techy nature of the site) comment string, and even if not signed in is far less aggressive about the tracking and ad stuff than govtech. Check it out: [arstechnica.com]
